Orpington teenager Dina Asher-Smith has become the fastest British woman of all time after breaking the national 100m record in Holland on Sunday.
The 19-year-old finished second in her race at the FBK Games in Hengelo with an impressive 11.02 seconds.
The King’s College London history undergraduate shaved 0.03 seconds off the previous record set by Montell Douglas in Loughborough seven years ago.
Ms Asher-Smith, a former Newstead Wood School pupil who trains with Blackheath and Bromley Harriers AC based in Hayes, was 0.12 seconds faster than her previous best.
After the race, Ms Asher-Smith posted on Twitter: "Sparkly new pb of 11.02 which also makes me the British record holder! WowWowWow!"

Victory went to Holland’s Dafne Schippers in 10.94 seconds, a Dutch national record, and fellow Briton Asha Philip took third celebrating a personal best with 11.10 seconds - the third fastest time by a British woman.
