King of the jungle Joe Swash dropped into an Anerley school to share some survival tips.
Joe, who won I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here in 2008, visited Stewart Fleming Primary School in Witham Road on Thursday (May 21).
The former Eastenders star dropped into the school as part of Save the Children’s Den Day Campaign.
The event, which runs from May 29 until June 6, invites people to get sponsored building dens and spending a night or two in them.
MORE TOP STORIES Joe got stuck in with a Year Two class helping them construct a series of shelters, while talking about the issues children across the globe without safe places to stay face.
Joe said: “I was chuffed to be asked by Save The Children to take part in today’s den building workshop.
"I used to love building dens as a kid and it was so fun to share that with the kids today."
Head of school Nicola Crockatt said: “I thought it was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to learn more about the fundraising that Save the Children do and the difference they make to children's lives around the world.
“The children enjoyed planning and building their dens and learning from Joe about the lives of children in The Philippines and how Den Day will raise funds to support children around the world.”
