A Bickley care home opened by the Queen Mother celebrated its silver jubilee.
The Queen Elizabeth house, in Southborough road, was named after the monarch’s mother who officially opened the house in 1990.
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother visited the 28-bed care home, and Bickley residents flocked to welcome the royal visitor who died in 2002.

“I am very impressed with the building and gardens and the ambiance of the home. The number of awards won by the home reflects very well on the organisation and staff.
