A doctor from Bromley has been charged with manslaughter after a woman died following childbirth.
Dr Errol Cornish, 67, of Holmbury Park, Bromley, is accused of gross negligence manslaughter following the death of 30-year-old Frances Cappuccini.
The primary school teacher died after an emergency caesarean section on October 9, 2012 at Pembury Hospital in Tunbridge Wells.
MORE TOP STORIES A charge of corporate manslaughter has also been brought against the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.
Dr Cornish will appear at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on May 1 for the first hearing in the case.
An international warrant has been issued for a second doctor, Dr Nadeem Azeez, 52, formerly of Chestnut Avenue, Tunbridge Wells, who is also charged with gross negligence manslaughter.
