POLICE are warning residents to lock their homes before going to bed following a spate of overnight burglaries.
Raiders have forced open front doors in Chislehurst and then gone in and stolen handbags.
They have also stolen keys for vehicles and then driven them away.
The 31 incidents are believed to have taken place early in the morning while residents were asleep.
Inspector Kevin Smith, who is in charge of safer neighbourhood teams in the south east of the borough, said: "Anyone requiring further advice can call 020 8284 8889.
"If anyone knows anything about the burglaries, please call Bromley police burglary squad on 020 8284 9964 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."
