A Penge man has been jailed after attempting to smuggle cannabis into the UK in a Disney Frozen rucksack.
Kevin Nzamutunga, of Blean Grove, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to import Class B drugs into the UK and was jailed for four months at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on February 20.
Border Force officials alerted Bromley police last month after intercepting a package from Colorado, USA, which was destined for Nzamutunga’s sister’s address.
When the package was checked, officers found three vacuum packed bags of herbal cannabis inside the pink children’s backpack.
A carrier bag containing another vacuum packed bag of cannabis was also discovered.
Police arrested 27-year-old Nzamutunga when he called at his sister’s house in Penge to collect the package.
