Pupils at a St Paul’s Cray primary school joined an attempt to break the world record for the most people using sign language and signing.
Children at Gray’s Farm Primary Academy, Grays Farm Road, spent weeks learning to sign fluently to their chosen song, Joining Hands Today.
Sign2Sing takes place at schools across the country annually to help raise funds for deaf health charity SignHealth and introduce children to sign language through music.
Event organiser Emma Kirby said: “Sign2Sing is really important at Grays Farm.
“This is the second year we have taken part and the children thoroughly enjoy it!"
Year Six pupil Charlie Richardson said: “It really helps people to understand how it is for deaf people to communicate.”
