Bromley Council is waiving the fees to hold a street party to encourage participation in the Big Lunch.
The Big Lunch is a project designed to bring neighbours together and started in 2009.
MORE TOP STORIES Taking place on June 7 this year - the first Sunday in June - the council is also accepting application for the Saturday as a Big Lunch event.
Any parties held outside on the streets needs council approval as road closures may need to be in place.
Residents are being encouraged to apply by March 27, where normal fees covering legal and processing costs will not apply.
Instead the council is seeking sponsorship.
Coun Colin Smith, executive councillor for environment said: "We have supported the Big Lunch street party initiative in the past and are very happy to do so again, as the community spirit the day generates sits perfectly alongside Bromley’s ‘Street Friends’ volunteering ethos.
"All fingers firmly crossed for fine weather over the course of that weekend."
