A lorry "ripped the front off" a car in Crystal Palace this morning.
The heavy vehicle was travelling through traffic along Church Road at around 8.30am.
According to witnesses, it misjudged the space next to a parked VW Golf.
Glen Keegan, 50, was on his way to work when he heard a sound of "something being crushed".
He said: "Church Road was congested and the lorry just misjudged the space he had to get through and drove out, and ripped the front off the car.
"He came too close to the parked car to be able to get through.
"It sounded like something being crushed, it was a loud noise."
Mr Keegan, who works in Crystal Palace, added: "I went up to them and said I've taken a photo.
"They parked up a bit further; they said they were going to leave a note."
It is unclear whether a note was left by the driver of the lorry.
