Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal hit-and-run.
Last Sunday October 26, a car travelling towards West Wickham on Wickham Road, near the Spring Park Junction in Croydon, collided with a pedestrian.
Both the London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance attended the incident, which occurred around 8.50pm, but a 43-year-old man pronounced dead at the scene.
The car in question, believed to be a black series 5 BMW, hit the man while he was crossing the road at a designated crossing point.
The driver did not stop but turned off Wickham Road into West Way Gardens.
The car lost a nearside wing mirror, and officers are appealing to any garages or repair shops in and around Croydon to come forward if they worked on a BMW missing its nearside wing mirror, and/or front and nearside damage.
CCTV is being studied by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit , but anyone with information is urged to come forward.
The identity of the man is believed to be known and next of kin have been informed, but formal identification is yet to take place as his family reside outside the UK.
