Police are appealing for information after thieves swiped watches worth more than £22,000 from a house in Chislehurst.

Burglars stole eight watches and the victim’s safe from a property in Oakwood on the afternoon of September 1.

Three distinctive watches were taken including a £10,000 Rolex (model 79260) a £5,000 Cartier and a £7,000 Luminor Submersible with a black strap.

The safe was found abandoned two weeks later at a football training ground on Calmont Road in Bromley.

Detective Constable Jim Stokes of the Bromley Burglary Squad is leading the investigation.

He said: "We are keen to speak with anyone who saw anything suspicious or who was in the area at the time and may be able to assist us.

“These items are very distinctive and will be immediately recognisable.
