Bromley’s Safer Neighbourhood Board hosted a crime summit at the Civic Centre on Saturday (September 27).
The event gave residents a chance to voice their concerns about crime in the borough.
The 100-strong crowd heard a keynote speech from Steve O’Connell, advisor for neighbourhoods with the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC).
Bromley Council’s Clare Elcombe ran a workshop on domestic abuse.
And new deputy borough commander Parm Sandhu led a seminar on local policing. Visitors enjoyed a police dog handling display from Bromley Parks’ Ward Security team and a fire engine tour from crews.
Bromley Safer Neighbourhood Board chairman and summit host Councillor Tim Stevens said it was a great opportunity to let residents know what the police, the council and the Safer Bromley Partnership are doing to keep Bromley safe.
He said: "We were also able to get valuable feedback from residents and volunteers that we can take into account when planning future priorities."
