Bromley pop star Pixie Lott is already the favourite to scoop this year’s Strictly Come Dancing glitterball trophy.

The 23-year-old singer, who grew up in Petts Wood and Bickley, is tipped 7/2 to win the competition which returns to our screens tonight (September 26).

She will be jiving with her professional partner Trent Whiddon to Taylor Swift’s new hit Shake It Off.

Pixie, who spent eight years training at Chislehurst’s Italia Conti theatre school, has already come under fire from viewers and TV critics over her dance experience.

She faces tough competition from TV presenter Caroline Flack and The Saturdays singer Frankie Sandford.

Speaking to ITV’s Loose Women panel on Tuesday, judge Craig Revel Horwood called out Pixie as his favourite to win the dance competition.

The series will be the first without legendary host Bruce Forsyth, who has been replaced by Claudia Winkleman.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One tonight at 9pm.
