PASSENGERS are now able to connect to the internet on Wi-Fi at London Overground stations.

Thanks to a deal between London Overground and Wi-Fi company The Cloud, 50 of the stations are now Wi-Fi enabled including New Cross Gate and Forest Hill.

Crystal Palace station’s ticket hall is now covered and there will be complete coverage on all areas of the station by the end of April when lift and walkway works are finished.

The remaining seven Overground stations will be Wi-Fi enabled by the end of June.

London Overground Rail Operations managing director Peter Austin said: “We are always looking for ways to make the London Overground even more convenient than it already is and believe the introduction of free Wi-Fi can only improve and enhance our passenger journeys.”

After registering for the service at any London Overground station, passengers will have 60 minutes free internet access each day.

Extra browsing time is priced at £2.99 for 30 minutes, £4.50 for one hour, £9.99 for 24 hours, and £11.99 for seven days.
