AN ARMED robbery in Beckenham has led police to a stash of drugs worth around £1 million.

The initial incident occurred on Saturday (Feb 16) at around 10am when there was an armed robbery at Paddy Power bookies in Beckenham High Street.

Officers from the Met’s Flying Squad and Bromley police arrested a man, aged 25, from Beckenham on suspicion of armed robbery the following day. He remains in custody and has already had his custody extended for further questioning.
