THE LORRY driver arrested following a M25 pile-up near Orpington in which a man died yesterday (Feb 13) has been bailed.
The 43-year-old from King's Lynn, Norfolk, was the driver of the lorry which collided with three cars on the clockwise carriageway between Junctions 4 and 5 yesterday morning.
He was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been bailed until June 20 pending further enquires.
Emergency services were called at about 10.15am to the incident which shut the clockwise carriageway between Junction 4 for Orpington and Junction 5 for the M26 and A21 for eight hours.
A man was pronounced dead at the scene and a 63-year-old woman flown by air ambulance to King's College Hospital with serious chest and abdominal injuries where she remains in a serious but stable condition.
