British Transport Police releases CCTV of Clockhouse train robbery suspects

Do you recognise this man? Do you recognise this man?

POLICE have released CCTV of two men they believe have key information about a violent robbery on a train between Eden Park and Clock House stations.

An 18-year-old man was approached by two men who threatened violence if he did not hand them his phone.

When the student refused he was punched in the head and the men took his phone as well as his wallet and £20 cash before leaving the train at Clock House.

They are believed to have travelled towards Catford after the incident.

British Transport Police officers have been reviewing the CCTV since the robbery happened at about 9pm on January 6 and are now appealing to News Shopper readers for help.

Detective Constable Sam Painter said: “This was understandably a frightening and intimidating experience for the victim and we are determined to find those responsible.

“Anyone who recognises the men pictured, or knows their whereabouts, should get in touch.”

Call the British Transport Police on 0800 405040 quoting B12/LSA of 5/2/2013 if you can help.
