WHILE most of the country is gearing up for snow the News Shopper region looks more likely to get rain or sleet later.
Outbreaks of rain or sleet are set to move in from the west this afternoon (February 5) and there will be a strong, blustery and cold wind.
The maximum temperature will be around 5C.
This evening the rain and sleet is set to clear everywhere except Kent where it may turn to snow briefly.
It will be very windy with a minimum temperature of 1C.
Tomorrow the forecast is for sunny spells and scattered showers, mainly of rain or hail, and there might be sleet over high ground.
There will be a strong, cold northerly wind and the maximum temperature will be 5C.
