A 35-YEAR-OLD man died after being hit by a train near Penge East station last night (January 31).
Emergency services were called to the railway line at around 7.50pm yesterday and the man, from Bromley, was declared dead at the scene.
He has not yet been formally identified.
British Transport Police is treating his death as non-suspicious and will be preparing a file for the coroner.
The line was closed while the emergency services dealt with the incident and it was reopened at 9.05pm.
