A SHOW is being put on in memory of a professional dancer from Orpington who died suddenly last year.

Matthew Beadle, who was 32, passed away on September 10 2012 while on holiday with friends in Orange County, America.

His death was a result of Sudden Arrythmic Death Syndrome (SADS) - when an otherwise healthy young person dies unexpectedly from a rare heart condition.

After going surfing, he had a lie down before dinner but never woke up.

Mr Beadle first started dancing at the age of 16 at Italia Conti Associate Academy School in Chislehurst.

He had performed in a world tour of We Will Rock You with its original cast and was taking time off from starring in Starlight Express in Bochum, Germany, when he died.

His father, Tony Beadle, of Dawson Avenue, Orpington, told News Shopper his son was very popular.

He said: "I don't know anyone who didn't like him. He was an amazing boy.

"He was a good person, reliable - if he thought he'd upset someone he would be mortified."

His funeral, which was held on October 9 2012 at St. George’s Church, Beckenham, was attended by 500 family, friends, colleagues and teachers.

Now his friends are putting on a charity show at the Actor’s Church in Covent Garden on February 3 in his memory.

The show will be in aid of Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).
