THE Chislehurst Road hit-and-run victim has been released from hospital with a mobility frame whilst the suspected driver remains on bail.

The cyclist, a Bromley College lecturer in his 60s, was hit by a car in Chislehurst Road, by Berryfield Close, at around 9.20pm on October 15. The car driver did not stop at the scene.

After a 54-minute wait, ambulances treated him for his injuries before taking him to Kings College Hospital, in Denmark Hill.

A 45-year-old man from Catford has been arrested on suspicion of GBH, dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.

He was arrested in Lewisham on October 26 and has been bailed until February 26.
