Elderly woman speaks of 'kindness' of Bromley public
11:40am Tuesday 15th January 2013 in Bromley By Patrick Grafton-Green
AN elderly woman has spoken of her gratitude after members of the public came to her aid when she suffered a fall in Shortlands village.
Hazel Watson, aged 85, of Beckenham Grove, Bromley, fell on Saturday morning and was helped by a passer-by, who took her to nearby hairdressers 'The Cutting Rooms'.
Here she was cleaned up and an ambulance was called.
Ms Watson was taken by paramedics to A&E at the Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough, where she was attended to by hospital staff.
She said: "I was so well and kindly cared for by doctors, nurses and hospital staff."
Finally she was driven home by a voluntary driver from Age UK.
She said: "I deeply appreciate such kindness."
