A NEW care home has had its units named by local school children, who have marked the occasion by burying a time capsule in the grounds.

Three units of Foxbridge House in Orpington were named by the pupils of Green Street Green Primary School, Orpington.

The chosen names were Willow, Larch and Bluebell.

The time capsule, buried to mark the occasion, was filled with messages from the children to future generations, photographs and memorabilia.

Foxbridge House, a Care UK project, will open in March.

Lynne Dando, the Headteacher of Green Street Green School, said: "Care UK wanted the school to get involved at the new home from day one. By burying the time capsule we will be cementing forever the link between the school and the home."

The home, which provides en-suite bedrooms designed to meet the needs of people living with dementia, will also feature a coffee shop, hair salon and cinema.
