THIS was the scene in Elmstead Lane, Chislehurst, last night (December 4) when a water main burst.
The area’s safer neighbourhood team went to the scene to assess the incident at around 5pm.
A Thames Water spokesman says the problem was fixed by 9.15am this morning (December 5).
He said: "A team worked all through Tuesday night to get this eight-inch burst water main fixed by 9.15am this morning.
"The pictures do look dramatic and we were at the scene as quickly as possible to shut off the water.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused while carrying out this essential repair."
