Olympian Steve Backley at Royal Parade, Chislehurst, to turn on Christmas lights

AFTER a two year absence Royal Parade in Chislehurst is holding a Christmas event this Sunday (November 25).

Olympic medal winning javelinist Steve Backley will be spreading some festive cheer when he turns on the festive lights at the shops at 5pm.

And before the light switch on there will be Christmas shopping including yuletide themed market stalls with food supplied by the Due Amici restaurant and there will be a hog roast at The Bull’s Head pub.

Entertainment includes a performance by singing group The Wayward Sisters and there will be a raffle, with all proceeds going to Demelza House children’s hospice.
