M25 crash between Swanley Interchange and Orpington causing severe delays

AN EARLY morning crash on the M25 clockwise between Junction 3 M20 / A20 (Swanley Interchange) and Junction 4 A21 / A224 (Orpington) is still causing problems for drivers.

Lanes one and two were closed in a clockwise direction for four hours after the collision between a lorry and a car at 3.55am.

They have since been reopened but there are severe delays and congestion to J1b A282/ A296 Princes Road (Dartford).

Emergency services were called to the crash just before 4am.

Firefighters cut a door off the car so ambulance staff could get the driver out and he was taken to hospital to be treated for suspected chest injuries.

The lorry driver did not need medical treatment.
