Up the creek....without a paddle.

By Vicki Foster »

I'm sure, like me you haven't been able to avoid hearing about John Darwin and his 'back-from-the-dead,' 'I think I'm a missing person' scenario. There have been so many twists and turns in this never ending story and today has been no different

After his wife Ann being remanded in custody she is pleading for her sons to get it touch.

Is it just me or do I think there is more to this story than meets the eye? I just can't seem to get my head around all the holes that keep appearing.

So far, as you probably agree, it is clear that the deception carried out by the Darwins was motivated by money.

But what I don't understand is, if the sons really were not involved why did they both leave their jobs in the same week and also transfer a lot of money into their Mum's account?

And if the sons are in no way linked then how could a mother do this? I mean, for five years pretending to her two sons that their father is dead.

It seems so unbelievable and perhaps it is, but the sons are staying put and not changing their versions.

I guess even if they keep up the act and really are involved then unless evidence is revealed, no-one will ever know.

It seems to be the perfect crime, John Darwin didn't even need to come back, he was presumed dead and had gained a new passport, so why he did he bother?

He could have got away with his deception I'm sure.

And honestly (and this is me having a rant now) why if you are going to come back, why at Christmas and near to your wedding anniversary?!

They could have timed his reappearance back into society a bit better at least!

Either way the Darwins have got what they deserve, it is despicable to pretend someone has died to get a payout, and they obviously did not need the money because all of it has gone on luxury!

If the sons are involved then I hope the truth does come out but if they truly are innocent then I feel sorry for them.

If their parents have lied to them for over five years, then having their father back now will mean nothing.

To them they have now lost both parents and they may as well have died.

I would never want to live my life in hiding, and what for the sake of money?

I guess the saying 'You don't know what goes on behind closed doors' is quite appropriate.

What do you think about the Darwins?
