Richard FirthDriven mad by motorway cretins
Posted by Richard Firth at 4:31pm on Wed 14 May 08
THERE’S little in life more annoying than a traffic jam.

It has been my view for some years that anybody stuck in a queue caused by a crash should be able to sue whoever was initially responsible for the accident.

Imagine if you missed the birth of your child or the cremation of a close relative because some loathsome poltroon ploughed his pimped-out Corsa into the central reservation while reaching for a fag.

Simon BullNo place for racist comments

And to a lesser extent Boris’ win in the mayoral election.

Personally, I can’t quite believe it.

A newt for £15,000 sounds a bit steep - but MP for Lewisham and Deptford Joan Ruddock appears to think money is no object when it comes to saving the reptiles.

Richard FirthThey were scallywags but good politicians
Posted by Richard Firth at 11:50am on Mon 28 Apr 08
ON Five Live last week, they were having a debate about the forthcoming local elections and the reasons for what is expected to be a low voter turnout across the country.

During a vox pop in Liverpool, a woman of 18 was asked who she thought was in charge of Liverpool City Council. Her perplexing response: “The Queen”.
