A BEXLEY councillor who recently resigned from cabinet is at the centre of a police probe.

Blackfen and Lamorbey councillor Peter Craske, 42, was arrested in June on suspicion of misconduct in a public office and bailed to return to a south London police station on Wednesday (September 5).

This week, he was re-bailed until October 16. He has not been charged.

On June 24, shortly after his arrest, Councillor Craske resigned from his role at cabinet member for public realm and community safety at Bexley Council for “personal reasons”.

He continues to serve as a ward councillor, which he has done since 2002.
