A 15-year-old boy had his iPhone robbed at knifepoint on a train between Erith and Abbey Wood

Do you know this man? Do you know this man?

BRITISH Transport Police is appealing for information after a 15-year-old boy had his iPhone robbed at knifepoint.

The teenager was on a train travelling between Erith and Abbey Wood on May 8 at around 6.30pm.

Officers have released images of two men they wish to speak to about the incident.

One man was sat behind the victim and was shortly joined by another, who then approached the boy and produced a knife.

The men, who boarded the train at Slade Green and left at Charlton, searched the victim’s school blazer before taking his iPhone from his school shirt pocket.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Carole Holmes, said: "This was a cowardly attack on a young boy who had no chance of defending himself against two men, while the fact that he was threatened with a knife left him understandably shaken.

"If you recognise the men pictured, or have any information about the incident, please get in touch."

Anyone with information should call British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 and quote reference B11/LSA of 20/06/12 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

As I've always said, instead of Police Community Support Officers walking around the high street and gathering outside a train station to help ticket staff check tickets, they should be on the transport itself.
I get southeastern trains all the time and I never see a visible police officer patrolling through the carriages.
I've even see Police Community Support Officers in actual high street stores patrolling around the store when the store have their own security.
Get more visible presence on our public transport.
RANT OVER!

Then why have I seen PCSO's check train tickets with the station staff?

Thanks.
