Firefighters battling Erith tower block fire
FORTY firefighters are battling a blaze which has engulfed half of the top floor of a tower block in Erith.
Four people were rescued from Cambria House, Larner Road, by crews wearing breathing apparatus.
Five others were led to safety shortly before 8am today (September 18).
Crews from Erith and the surrounding area are at the scene.
It is not yet known how the fire started.
