A NEW voluntary group for parents whose children have a disability, additional or special educational needs, is being launched in Bexley tomorrow (March 10).

Bexley Voice is inviting parents to its first meeting in the Ashmole Hall at Danson Youth Centre, Brampton Road, Bexleyheath, from 9.30am until 1pm.

The group has been formed by parents whose own children have additional needs and its aim is to make sure their needs and those of their children are taken into account when Bexley Council is planning and providing services.

Parents will be able to meet existing group members and those from other borough groups providing support and services.

There will also be short presentations from parents and professionals.

Bexley mayor Councillor Val Clark will release the balloons in a balloon race at 11.30am and there will be craft activities for under-fives.

Afterwards there will be a buffet lunch at noon.

Call 07512 409936 or email bexleyvoice@hotmail.co.uk if you would like to attend or have lunch.
