BROMLEY & BEXLEY: Military charity to hold fundraising concert for heroes

A MILITARY charity still has tickets available for its 125th anniversary celebratory concert taking place next month.

The Bromley and Bexley branch of the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA) Forces hosts A Concert for Heroes in the Main Crofton Hall in Crofton Road, Orpington on October 2.

There will be performances from the Belvedere Concert Band and the New Romney ATC Pipers and Drums.

The club will also announce the charity’s two Norton Homes at Selly Oak and Headley Court as the recipients of more than £500,000 which was raised from the sale of the old Home Guard Club’s site in Beckenham Lane, Bromley, following its closure in 2002.
