THAMESMEAD: Over turned lorry shuts roads

AN OVER turned lorry has meant many roads in Thamesmead are closed this morning (May 7).
Police were called just before 5am to reports of an overturned refrigerated lorry at Eastern Way junction with Yarnton Way.
The Met’s traffic unit and an ambulance was sent to the scene.
Staff treated a 50-year-old man and he was taken as a priority to St Thomas Hospital with a head injury.
Many road around Thamesmead are now closed while the area is cleared.
