A NEW chief executive has been appointed to head Greenwich and Bexley Cottage Hospice.
In an internal promotion Kate Heaps, deputy chief executive and director of care services at the Abbey Wood-based hospice, will take over from Jim Bennett who resigned in January after 4 years in the post.
Ms Heaps who has a background in health trusts and authorities as well as in the voluntary sector, said she was thrilled to be taking on the job.
She added: “I’m looking forward to leading our fantastic team of hospice staff and volunteers, not only in maintaining the excellent care we already provide, but also with exciting developments planned for the future.”
