MORE than 1,000 people turned up to enjoy the sunshine at a school fun day.
The annual event took place at Dulverton Primary School, Dulverton Road, Sidcup on Saturday (JUNE 27)
Jacqui Herridge, treasurer for the school committee said: “We had lots of activities going on, there was a climbing wall, sumo suits and an Irish dance group provided the entertainment all afternoon.
“We also had visits from firemen at Bexley Fire Station who showed the children inside a fire engine and Deputy Mayor Aileen Beckwith also attended the event.
“Children also took part in a football tournament and there were stalls selling arts and crafts and cakes made by parents.”
A total of £3,515 was raised on the day, which will be spent on equipment for the school playground.
