NEWS Shopper has a new editor.
Richard Firth has taken over the Petts Wood hot seat following the departure of former editor Jean May, who left earlier this year to work on a paper in the Cayman Islands.
Richard joins News Shopper from his native West Yorkshire, where he was editor of the Dewsbury Reporter.
Before that, he spent seven years in Stoke-on-Trent working on the city's daily title, The Sentinel.
Richard said: "My wife Julie is from Kent and used to work at News Shopper, so coming here feels like keeping up some sort of family tradition.
"News Shopper is a fantastic newspaper with a superb website staffed by an ambitious, enthusiastic editorial team and I'm looking forward to taking our print and online offerings forward."
