CHILDREN who excel in maths got together for a day of puzzles and problem solving.
Forty pupils from six different schools in Greenwich met at Cherry Orchard Primary School, Rectory Field Crescent, Charlton, to take part in mathematical games and challenges.
The event was part of Government-funded programme Gifted and Talented, which is aimed at children who excel in London's inner city schools.
Councillor Jackie Smith, the council's cabinet member for children and young people, said: "Giving our young people access to this programme and others like it is a great way of keeping learning fresh and making lessons more enjoyable."
