A road in Thamesmead was completely submerged in water last night due to a large burst water main.
Thames Water said they have been working to fix the leak in Yarnton Way.
TfL said bus routes 180, 401, 601 and B11 have been diverted away from Yarnton Way.
Thames Water workers are at the leak, which is near Emmanuel Church.
The leak is is till ongoing and under investigation.
A spokesman for Thames Water said the burst is on a 15 inch water pipe.
A spokesman for Thames Water said: "We’re sorry for any disruption a burst on our water pipe is causing. It’s a complicated repair job, but to ensure water supplies aren’t affected, we’re allowing the leak to continue while we re-route water around our network of pipes.
“This means when we isolate the area of the burst to dig down and repair the pipe, people will still have water flowing from their taps. We’ll do all we can to get everything back to normal as soon as possible.”
Tankers have been used to remove excess water.
