Halloween is supposed to be a fun night full of spooky goings on, but some people seem to take the mischief too far.
Police in Bexley were no chickens last night however, poaching four cartons of eggs from a group of youths.
Police scrambled any plans to get up to no good by having extra patrols responding to anti-social behaviour reports.
They did a cracking job in this case, stopping any silly yokes by taking the eggs from the group in Pickford Lane, Bexleyheath.
The free-range eggs were confiscated, and it is not clear whether they will remain in custardy.
