A man has appeared in court charged with killing a woman from Welling when a speedboat they were on capsized on the Thames.
Charlotte Brown, known as Charli, died after the boat capsized under Wandsworth Bridge in a late-night trip in December 2015.
Jack Shepherd, from Bristol, appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court today (October 18) charged with manslaughter by gross negligence.
Charli, 24, was recovered from the river along with Shepherd and both were taken to hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
Shepherd, 30, was charged on September 19 earlier this year with her death and will appear at the Old Bailey on November 15.
