The next round of roadworks in Bexleyheath Town Centre are set to start tonight.
Nigh works on Albion Road begin tonight (October 16) with the eastbound carriageway, behind the shopping centre, and then the new roundabout at Townley Road are resurfaced. The council expect this to take eight nights.
The road between the roundabout at Townley Road and the roundabout at Highland Road will be closed for five nights from 19.00pm–5.00am
During this period, access to and exit from Pincott Road, Warren Close and Victoria Road will be as normal, except for journeys towards Crayford, where it will not be possible to make a u-turn at Townley roundabout by the library, and return along Albion Road.
The alternative route will be via Townley Road and Latham Road to reach Gravel Hill.
When this work is done the roundabout at Townley Road will close to traffic for resurfacing, and this is expected to take another nights.
During this period, vehicles leaving Victoria Road will be able to turn right across the central reservation.
The timings of the work may change depending on weather.
The council said noisy operations will be ended, were practical, by 23.00pm and other works no later than 2.00am
