CCTV footage has been released showing a man allegedly stealing a pillow from B&Q in Belvedere despite being challenged by staff.
Police want to identify the man in the video after he "helped himself" to a pillow, a selection of candles, some pots of paint and other home furnishings.
The value of the items taken was about £100.
A spokesman for Bexley police said: "He was challenged by staff as he left but obviously had no intention of making payment."
The incident happened at the B&Q in Lower Road on June 20 at 7am.
