A man needed medical attention after plunging 25ft from a Sainsbury's supermarket reportedly while trying to evade police capture.
Police were called to a disturbance at a Sainsbury's in Harrow Manor Way, Abbey Wood yesterday (August 3) at 3.04pm.
Police say the man in his 30s was running away from security staff through the store before jumping or falling from a first-floor window.
He was taken by London Ambulance Service to a central London Hospital. His injuries are not life-threatening.
A police spokesperson said that after reportedly trying to escape capture the "man was taken into custody for burglary and assault."
Officers from Greenwich police are investigating. Enquiries are ongoing.
