A holiday club is coming to Greenwich and Bexley to encourage young people to get active this summer.

One Goal is a free sports and creative arts programme that motivates young people to be physically active, make healthy lifestyle choices and enjoy creative pursuits during the school holidays.

This summer they have a multi-sport line up featuring cricket, water sports, assault courses, basketball and FIFA tournaments, culminating in a summer garden party on the last day.

This year youngsters who take part will be offered a free meal at least once a week from the Mayor’s Fund Kitchen Social scheme.

The scheme is delivered by nine professional football clubs across the capital, including Charlton Athletic, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Leyton Orient, Millwall, Tottenham Hotspur, QPR and West Ham.

The project is being funded by the L&Q Foundation with a £377,000 grant, which ensures all activities are free and that there is no financial barrier for young people to get involved.
