The deadline to have your say on plans for largest development in Bexley since the 30s is just a week away.
Bexley Council’s consultation in a draft growth strategy that will change the face of the borough is entering into its final week.
The consultation roadshow will have one final appearance next week on Tuesday, July 11 between 12 and 4pm at Parkview Community Hub in Thamesmead.
The draft growth strategy, agreed back in April, has plans for 30,000 homes and 17,000 jobs, including GPs and teachers.
Councillor Linda Bailey, Cabinet member for Regeneration & Growth, said the council have been pleased with attendance to consultation roadshows so far.
She said: “"Given the scale of what we're proposing it is perhaps not surprising that some people have misunderstood our plans or are concerned at their impact.
“Major development of the type we are setting out will only happen if there is major investment in public transport improvements and other key infrastructure.
“It will also be phased over a long period of time to ensure that these changes are properly considered and controlled.
