A group of "travellers" have reportedly moved on to the former site of Bexley Civic Centre.
Several caravans were spotted on the land near The Broadway this morning (June 13).
One witness said the caravans were not there on Sunday morning.
Tesco bought the site, which has been vacant since 2014, from the council before they sold it to Sports Direct a year later.
A Bexley Council spokeswoman said: "While this site no longer belongs to the Council we have made contact with the land owners and are currently liaising with police concerning their removal."
