A young man is in hospital with life threatening head injuries following an incident in Erith.
Police were called at 8.11am this morning to reports of an altercation and a man seen with a knife in Bilton Road at the junction Manor Road.
A man, in his 30s, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and is in custody at a south London police station.
The London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance attended and the man was taken to a south London hospital where he remains with life threatening injuries.
Enquires are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident.
