A burst water main has left houses in Bexley with no water or low pressure.

Temporary traffic lights are in place in Bexley High Street after the pipe burst and flooded the street at about 12am.

Repair work was under way this morning and the water supply was expected to be back to normal by midday.

A spokesman for Thames Water said: “We’re sorry to customers in Bexley who have low pressure or no water this morning.

"We’re planning repairs to our burst pipe and hope to have water supplies back to normal around lunchtime.”
