A drink-driver, who ran over a teenage girl in Bexleyheath, has had his sentencing delayed for the second time.

Mark Shelton, 57, of Marden Crescent, Bexley, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and drink-driving charges on July 11.

The 15-year-old victim, thought to be a pupil at St Catherine’s School, was taken to hospital following the incident in Watling Street at 3.20pm on February 9.

The schoolgirl suffered a bump on her forehead, cuts to her legs, a bruised hip and other injuries.

Shelton was supposed to be sentenced at Inner London Crown Court on August 18, however, the case was adjourned until September 5.

And it has now been delayed for the second time with the Bexley man set to be sentenced on October 10.

News Shopper understands that Shelton had previously been told to undergo an Alcohol Treatment Report (ATR) before returning to court.
